Tony brought us a message tonight that centered around listening God. The world will have all manner of opinions about who you should be and how you should act. God's plan for you is personal and we should seek him out to know the difference between what the world wants and what He desires for us. When I think of the story of Jacob and Esau my mind immediately thinks of treachery and deception. Tony shared a different perspective on this tonight in our devotional. He taught us that even though Esau most certainly was wronged by his brother, the real story here is one of true forgiveness.
Tony challenged us tonight to think about perseverance in a slightly different way. His devotional teaches us that God's glory can be shown all the more by inviting Him to shoulder even our everyday struggles.
